REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS:
TROPHIES FOR WILDLIFE FILM FESTIVAL FILM COMPETITION
Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival is seeking proposals for the design and creation of three dimensional art to be used in the trophies awarded to its film competition winners. The winning design should reflect the unique nature and beauty of Jackson Hole, featuring one of the area’s iconic animals. The selected artist will be commissioned for three related pieces to serve as awards for the next three film competitions. Preference will be given to Wyoming artists.
Approximately 30 awards will be given to winning films during the Wildlife Film Festival. Following the Festival, filmmakers frequently wish to order additional awards for other team members, so the piece of art will need be to be able to be reproduced. It is not necessary that the piece be a limited edition.
Examples of past trophies are available for viewing in the JHWFF office. JHWFF can also send images by email. The commissioned artwork will be affixed atop a black marble base (approximately 2.5 x 6 inches and 3/4-inch deep) that has an engraved plaque acknowledging the award winner affixed to the front. Awards need to be suitable for shipping without breakage.

• Artist notification will be made by July 30, 2011.
• Delivery of 30 pieces would be no later than Sept. 1, 2011.
• Delivery of 30 pieces for year two would be no later than Aug. 1, 2013.
• Delivery of 30 pieces for year three would be no later than Aug. 1, 2015.
The selected artist will receive a total of $9000. This would be distributed over three Festival events as $3,000 for each animal trophy set (consisting of 30 pieces). Following the Festival, filmmakers frequently request additional awards. These will be commissioned at a rate determined by the artist. In addition, the artist will receive a complimentary (value $1,200 per pass) full access Festival Pass for the three Festivals. A profile of the artist (with contact information) will be included in the printed Festival Guide, and online at the Festival website.
